We pride ourselves on our caring and supportive environment and the experiences we offer to our students. Teachers and students believe they work in a safe, orderly and nurturing environment where teaching and learning is at the centre of all that we do. We are fortunate to have more than 100 volunteers regularly supporting our school. We value parents and community members as an essential part of the education partnership between the students and our dedicated staff.
We hold regular whole school Assemblies on Monday mornings from 9 – 9:30am. Parents are very welcome to join us as we celebrate our school and student achievements. All assemblies are presented under the direction of our Year 6 Student Leadership Team.
Special Assemblies are held for occasions such as Anzac Day and the presentation of badges to student leaders. These are also presented by our Student Leaders.
KPS Collective is a new initiative aimed at getting community members involved in our school. We have a collection of enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to contribute their spare time or skill they may have, to become actively engaged and support our school community. New volunteers are always welcome.
The Korumburra Primary School Council is comprised of elected members; with 7 parents and 3 teachers, and the Principal. Council meets monthly, generally on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. An Annual General meeting is held in March each year, with elected members serving a two-year term with half retiring each year.
Parents and other volunteers are encouraged to contribute to the educational programs of Korumburra Primary School. Each year parents and others who wish to volunteer to support our programs are invited to register. Volunteers are asked to nominate areas in which they want to assist by completing a Volunteer Registration Form.
